Announcement: Phishing Emails Impersonating Murata Machinery Singapore
On Monday, 2 December 2019, we discovered that phishing emails have been sent out to a large number of corporate entities with the sender address disguised as our company’s official email address.
The phishing emails contain requests for product quotations. The emails also come with malicious attachments that may compromise the security of your system if opened.
We would like to officially clarify that Murata Machinery Singapore Pte Ltd did not, and will not, send any email from our official corporate email address requesting for product quotations.
If you have received an email claiming to ask for product quotations from our official company email, please delete the email immediately and refrain from opening any attachments that come with the email.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this incident.
We have lodged a report with the local law enforcement on this matter.
Yours Sincerely,
Murata Machinery Singapore
